Project Description:

This project is a documentary about the current development and gentrification of Treasure Island. Filming will document the impacts that the development plan has on current residents of the island, as well as businesses and organizations located there. This case is one of environmental injustice, as the low-income, underserved communities are going to be the first to face the repercussions of this gentrification. The making of the film will be a creative and collaborative process which aims to center the voices of the current residents on Treasure Island.

Project Goals

Document the different opinions of people involved such as current residents, developers, board members, and tourists to produce an engaging and informative product.
